Our Family & Friends programme provides a link between parents, families and friends of Clare's current undergraduate students and the College.
We are delighted to offer those who choose to join the scheme a chance to become a little bit more involved in life at Clare...
We know that students aren’t always the best at telling their parents what they’ve been up to, so we’ll do our best to give you a taste of what’s happening at Clare. When you join Family & Friends, you'll receive the College's monthly e-newsletter to keep you up to date with College news, event highlights and lots more. We'll also post you our annual magazine, Clare News, as well as a copy of the College's Annual Report.
Everybody loves cake, so we’ve teamed up with legendary Cambridge bakery Fitzbillies to bring you 'Love from Home'. Choose from a selection of delicious treats to send to your student, wishing them a happy birthday, good luck for exams or just to remind them that they're loved! You can also buy a voucher that they can be use in the Fitzbillies bakery, café or restaurant.

Every February, we invite our Family & Friends members (of first year undergraduates) to attend a special dinner at Clare. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience a formal dinner in College and to meet other parents of our first year students... and spend time with your son or daughter, of course!
Before the dinner you will have the opportunity to attend choral evensong in Clare chapel and there will be a short talk, usually given by the Senior Tutor.
The next Parent's Dinner will take place on...
Saturday 4th February 2017
Invitations will be sent to all eligible Family & Friends members in January 2017.
All Family & Friends members are also very welcome to attend our annual Clare Gala Day in June... Keep an eye out for updates on our events pages!
The Clare College Family Book Fund provides families of undergraduates with a way to help current students by donating funds for the College Library to invest in much needed resources and to help the Library maintain a plentiful supply of key texts.
If you would like to donate to this fund you can support a specific subject area or you can leave it to the discretion of the Librarian. Books purchased through the Family Book Fund are marked with a special bookplate. Your support will also be noted in the annual list of donors and displayed in the Forbes Mellon Library, unless you request that your donation be anonymous.
For a minimum donation of £20.00, the College Library will purchase a book for undergraduate use, marked by a special bookplate.

The Parents' Fund
The Parents’ Fund is a way for families and friends to give tangible support to current students. Gifts to the annual Parents’ Fund, support projects of direct benefit to current students; projects are decided upon by a committee of students and Fellows, chaired by the Senior Tutor.
Discussions with all our students, including attendance, assessments and personal issues, are treated in the utmost confidence. This information will not be disclosed to third parties, including parents and members of the Family & Friends, without the consent of the student in question.
