digital gala week event college

Dear All,

We are pleased to invite you to Digital Gala Week 2021 with a fully online programme, taking place from Monday 28 June to Saturday 3rd July 2021.

As we are unable to hold Gala Day in College again this year, we have created a programme of fascinating virtual talks and workshops, including:

  • A virtual tour of Clare's Gardens with Fellow and Professor of Plant Ecology Professor Howard Griffiths, Head Gardener Kate Hargreaves, and Deputy Head Gardener John Mears
  • A piano recital from alumna Cordelia Williams (2006)
  • Aviation’s Climate Impact: Mitigating indirect forcing from contrails with smarter flight planning with Dr Adam Durant, former Clare CRA and CEO of Cambridge-based SATAVIA
  • A mindfulness taster session with Dr Rachael Harris (Fellow)
  • An expressive drawing workshop with Claire Parker (2012)

And much more! Check out the full programme here.

To register your interest for Digital Gala Week 2021, please complete the form below. Once you have registered, we will email you each morning throughout the week with links to the live sessions that day and any recorded sessions.

All sessions are free to attend.

You do not need to book for specific talks/workshops, apart from the expressive drawing workshop which has a maximum capacity of 25, for which all drawing materials will be provided. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and you must register for this session before 11 June to allow time for us to send drawing materials to you. If you would like to join this session, please email as soon as possible and we will let you know if there is a space available. Please also include the address to which you would like drawing materials to be sent.

All live talks/workshops will be recorded and added to our event webpage at the end of each day, so if you miss a session you can catch up online at any time.

We hope you will be able to join us for some or all of Digital Gala Week! In the meantime if you have any queries please do not hesitate to ask.

With best wishes,

The Development Team
