Economics and the Epidemic: Models, Behaviour and Policy

with Dr Flavio Toxvaerd, Clare Fellow

Tuesday 24 November 2020 at 6pm

In this virtual talk, Dr Toxvaerd will show how economists think about disease control and contrast it with the traditional approach adopted in epidemiology and public health. He will argue that a better understanding of behaviour and tradeoffs can inform and enhance the work of disease control experts and policy makers and therefore should be welcomed as an additional tool of analysis.
