A Cambridge education is widely recognised as one of the best in the world.
As well as ensuring our students consistently achieve the very highest academic standards, we also offer them many opportunities to broaden their horizons in all directions, gaining experiences that set them apart from their peers. For this reason, our graduates are often in high demand among potential employers.
The recruitment of high-quality graduates is key to the success of individual businesses, and the economy as a whole. With that in mind, Clare College is keen to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships with businesses, both to help support our world-class education system and to encourage our talented graduates into challenging new roles across the corporate sector, once they have left Clare.

Corporate Bursaries Programme
As part of our commitment to attracting and supporting talented students from less well-off backgrounds, Clare College has established a programme of named bursaries, funded by corporate donors. Through the programme, undergraduate students who are eligible for partial or full remission of their fees, as assessed by the Local Education Authority, will be awarded bursaries of £3,500 each year, while they are studying at Clare.
We are actively seeking corporate partners for this programme and are pleased to offer supporters the option to create one or more named bursaries, potentially with a preference from a particular geographical area (e.g. the city where your company HQ is based) and/or a specific subject. We are also happy to offer public recognitiion and PR opportunities, as appropriate.
- Named bursaries are already provided by KPMG and Clifford Chance
- Clare College is actively seeking further corporate partners for its bursary programme, and will be pleased to give appropriate recognition and publicity to donors, including the naming of individual bursaries
- In return for naming a bursary, Clare seeks a commitment from its corporate bursary partner to provide £3,500 per annum over a four-year period: sufficient to provide a bursary to a student for the duration of their degree course
- The College is happy to award a named bursary with preference for a student from a particular geographical area, and/or reading a specified subject, where circumstances permit
