    Clare College warmly invite you to celebrate the book launch of "In The Nile: Downriver Through Egypt’s Past and Present", inspired by two trips down the Nile with Clare alumni, Toby explores the people, places and events that have shaped Egypt’s long history, and have themselves been shaped by Egypt’s great river. It is a story of gods, pharaohs, emperors, adventurers, archaeologists and historians, whose fates were all entwined with the Nile.

  • Guest Lecture by Dr Lawrence Gonzi: former Prime Minister of Malta

    Dr Lawrence Gonzi, Prime Minister of Malta from March 2004 to March 2013. 

    The Master of Clare, Professor Tony Badger, is delighted to host Dr Lawrence Gonzi, as a guest speaker in the Riley Auditorium at Clare College on Thursday, 15 May 2014.

    Dr Gonzi will speak on ‘The role of Malta in the Libyan Conflict’.
