Anne Margaret Glover CBE (Clare 1973), born 6 February 1954, is a scientist, businesswoman and venture capitalist.
Following a variety of management positions, she joined the fledgling British venture capital sector in the late 1980s. In 1997 she co-founded Amadeus Capital Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in European high-technology companies, of which she is currently the CEO. She also has experience as a business angel, investing in UK-based information technology start-ups.
She is a former chairman of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA), which represents around 165 UK-based private equity and venture capital firms. For the past seven years, she has been a member of the Council that runs the BVCA. She is a non-executive director of the UK government’s Technology Strategy Board, a member of the London Business School’s Private Equity Institute Advisory Board and a member of the Women’s Enterprise Task Force.
She was awarded a CBE in the 2006 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to business. In 2008 she was elected an honorary fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
