    Stephen Wyatt receives the Tinniswood Award in 2008At the BBC Audio Drama Awards on January 29, Stephen Wyatt (1966) won the Tinniswood Award for the best original radio script broadcast in 2010 for Gerontius, his play about Cardinal Newman.


  • New Release: A View from the Lodge by Alan Attlesey

    Alan Attlesey, a former Clare gardener, is celebrating the release of his new book A View from the Lodge: The reminiscences of a Cambridge College Porter. While the protagonist, Eric, is a fictional character, the events recounted in the book are all true...and all the more remarkable for it!

  • Professor Patrick Mollison CBE FRS: 1914-2011

    Professor Patrick MollisonProfessor Patrick Mollison (1932), who has died aged 97, was a pioneer of blood transfusion during the Second World War and later Professor of Haematology at St Mary’s Hospital, London. He was also the grandson of William Loudon Mollison, Master of Clare (1915-1929).

    'Untitled' by Michael BolusClare is currently playing host to Untitled (1974) by Michael Bolus, a leading member of the New Generation of sculptors in the 1960s and 70s, which has been generously loaned to the College by the New Art Centre at Roche Court, near Salisbury.


  • Turtle Song: Songs from the Sea

    The concert at West Rd. Friday 2 December saw the culmination of Songs from the Sea, an eight-week singing and song-writing initiative for people with memory problems and all forms of dementia and their carers, run by Turtle Key Arts, the Royal College of Music and English Touring Opera, in collaboration with Clare College.
