- Sassoon on show

 An exhibition of material belonging to Siegfried Sassoon (Clare 1905) has gone on show at the Cambridge University Library following the recent acquisition of the First World War poet's archive from his relatives. The archive includes his diary recounting the first day of the Battle of the Somme, and the telegram summoning him to HQ after his ‘Soldier’s Declaration’. This is the first time that these items have been on public display.

 Research efforts led by Clare Fellow, Professor Lorraine Tyler, to understand the effects of ageing on the brain have been given a major boost with the announcement of a new £5M grant from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).

 On Friday 9 July Harvey Brough (1977) is formally launching the CD recording of 'Requiem in Blue' at London's Canary Wharf, written by him for his brother, Lester (Clare, 1974-76), and including Clare Choir with a star-studded list of jazz soloists.
